Location

New places to discover and a full immersion into nature at Elba Island

An island with lots of stories and of thousands of colours, with towns by the sea (Marciana Marina, Marina di Campo, Porto Azzurro and Rio Marina), its ancient hill towns (Capoliveri, Rio nell'Elba, Marciana and Poggio) and the fortified Medici city of Portoferraio. From the small towns of Marciana, Poggio, Chiessi and Pomonte you can reach the peak of Mount Capanne on foot (it can also be reached by a cabin car), from here you can enjoy a marvellous view of all of the island.

The flowering of the Mediterranean vegetation is an explosion of colours with a rich variety of botanical and animal species. A crystal clear sea pulsing with life, on whose seabed there are still ruins of antique galleons and ships, archaeological sites of undisputed value. Old footpaths have been rediscovered and cleared all over the island for anyone who loves hiking.

Capoliveri

Capoliveri

Capoliveri is on a hill covered in agaves and prickly pears near Mount Calamita, its long history is found in the intense azure blue sea and the simplicity of its beauty.

Marciana

Marciana

One of Elba’s oldest centres, Marciana clings to a hill at 375 m above sea level, below Mount Capanne. Its past history is well documented in the Archaeological Museum.

Marciana Marina

Marciana Marina

Marciana Marina is an old fishing port which still today keeps intact its charm thanks to a grid of lanes and its houses facing the sea with their characteristic pastel coloured walls.

Marina di Campo

Marina di Campo

Marina di Campo, on the most famous part of Elba’s coast, is one of the most “in” and crowded places on the island; however, you can still find isolated and exclusive corners.

Porto Azzurro

Porto Azzurro

Porto Azzurro an old fishing and agricultural town, it is the heart of society life on the Island of Elba, today it is one of its most celebrated seaside resorts.

Portoferraio

Portoferraio

Portoferraio sits on a promontory on the north coast of the Island of Elba. It is the place of Napoleon’s exile, a fortress stretching out into the Tyrrhenian sea with lots of characteristics of a military centre.

Rio Marina

Rio Marina

Rio Marina is on the eastern coast of Elba and sits on a small bay surrounded by red iron oxide hills, reminding us of its mining past.

Rio Nell'Elba

Rio Nell'Elba

Protected on a hill in the north-eastern part of Elba, Rio nell’Elba is one of the islands oldest settlements with origins going back to the Bronze Age.
